Well, Sophie didn’t actually say these things, but people said them about/around her:

“You’re so special, mom & dad spent over an hour walking around the entire mall at 3 different stores to find the absolute cheapest playmat for you”

We had just handed Sophie to our friend Annette, when Sophie let out a tremendous farting sound (as babies do). Annette looked at Sophie and said, “Ah, success!”. It seemed funny at the time.

The first time I had to put her in her baby bathing suit, I came up with these alternate lyrics to the “hokey pokey”:

I put your left foot in, you take your left foot out

I put your right foot in, and you shake it all about

You do the hokey pokey and you take your right foot out

That’s what it’s all about
